HOW TO PLAN THE BEST BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR KIDS
A kid’s birthday party is easier to plan than an adults, because you can let your inner kid out when implementing innovative ideas. However it does need planning in order for you to make it a joyful event for all the kids. Therefore the sooner you start planning and organizing, the more the excitement and less hard work for you on the main day. Check out some of our Birthday Party tips!
PICK A THEME
Although it seems unnecessary but having a theme helps you in making decisions about what decoration to buy, what foods to include, what games to plan, and what to include in goody bags. Although character parties such as Scooby doo or sponge bob are popular the general themes such as cowboy, fairies, pirates and princesses work well too.
THE GUEST LIST
Before you decide on when to host the event, make sure to check with your child’s best friend’s availability. If you want to keep a small event, the least you can do is invite all of your kids close friends and your family members.
Mail the party invitations at least 3 weeks before the big day, or deliver them personally, which-ever is easy for you. The invitation should include the date, location, drop and pick up time and R.S.V.P. Also spell out anything the kids are supposed to bring along such as a towel or other things they may enjoy. Make personal calls to parents who do not respond till a week before the actual day.
When choosing a party location like Bumper Jumpers, make sure they offer clean up and fun activates for your children! We know that picking a party place for kids can be tough and we also recommend taking the kids there to play so that you can experience the environment first hand before you proceed.
DATE AND TIME
For young children, schedule the event at the time best suited to them, when they won’t be too sleepy or hungry. The date of the event should preferably match with your kid’s actual birth date, but can be tweaked to match the availability of your kid’s friends.
Match the goodies according to the theme. For an interesting activity, allow the kids to make their own party favors, such as bead jewelry for girls and T-shirt painting for boys.
You can arrange for a popcorn stand, face-painting, musical chairs, magic show, chocolate fountain, swimming, hairstylists, manicurists, deejays, story tellers, piñatas, treasure hunt, and other activities based on the theme.
Try to divide each activity into 10-15 minutes increments, a new activity for each time block. When a few kids arrive, usher them to our bouncy houses where they might keep themselves busy until other guests arrive.
No matter your birthday plans or the location you choose for you birthday party we hope that it is a party that everyone will remember for years to come! We hope you let Bumper Jumpers show you just how that is accomplished!
